Fishing

Episode #15:  Explore how children can learn maths through fishing .

Activities such as fishing involve lots of mathematics and opportunities for children’s learning. There are opportunities for describing the location of the family’s favourite fishing location, for comparing the length of casts, and to measure and compare the weight of fish. Children can describe the sequence of steps involved in catching a fish and the size and location of rocks and plants as they look around.
